Gerry has lived in Fairhope, Alabama since the late seventies. In addition to being a studio musician he also teaches advanced guitar lessons to other musician's.

His earlier musical influences included John Coltrane, George Benson, BB King, Joe Satriani, and Carlos Santana. Gerry has covered jazz, country, pop, and rock and roll with many bands over the years including well known names, such as Sister Sledge

Gerry's greatest musical influence is Gary Rossington and the reason Almost Skynard was born.
