Gerry Gambino, founder of Almost Skynard, has been a resident of Fairhope, Alabama since the late 1970s. Alongside his work as a studio musician, he imparts advanced guitar instruction to fellow musicians.

His formative musical influences encompass a diverse array of artists including John Coltrane, George Benson, BB King, Joe Satriani, and Carlos Santana. Throughout his career, Gerry has performed across various genres such as jazz, country, pop, and rock and roll,

A pivotal figure in Gerry's musical journey is Gary Rossington, whose influence served as the catalyst for the formation of Almost Skynard.
